About Clayton
Clayton is a unique small town located 32 miles east of San Francisco and 8 miles east of Walnut Creek. Many of us enjoy it’s countryside as a peaceful getaway from the cities and activities of the surrounding areas. Crime statistics show Clayton as one of the safest towns in California, making it an ideal environment to raise a family, enjoy nature or retire. Nestled at the base of Mount Diablo, Clayton keeps it’s small town feel and cowtown charm by preventing the presence of large franchises, department stores and other commercial endeavors. In short, it’s a highly desireable place that Northern Californians look for, not end up in.
Clayton is beautiful year round and if you want to experience the area at it’s best, consider a visit from early spring to summer, and experience our lush, well manicured vegetation, rolling hills and country life aromas.
Below is a compilation of photos and descriptions of our proud town. Want to be a part of it? It all starts with choosing the right property with the Clayton experts. Claytonians, would you like to contribute to this page?
